The Holy60 is a barebones 60% keyboard kit from KBDFans. It includes an aluminum tray-mount case, a hot-swap PCB with RGB underglow and per-key RGB, your choice of PC or black aluminum plate, case foams, and a set of Cherry screw-in stabilizers. You supply your own switches and keycaps — no soldering is required at any step, so it is a complete first custom build in one box.

  • 60% layout (61 keys)

  • USB-C connection
  • VIA support for key remapping (firmware and JSON provided by KBDFans)
  • Plate options: polycarbonate (PC) or black aluminum
  • Cherry screw-in stabilizers, 60% set
  • PCB foam and bottom (case) foam included
  • Rubber feet and mounting screws included

What's in the box

  • Holy60 aluminum case (with USB blocker)
  • Foam kit (PCB foam and case foam)
  • Hot-swap PCB
  • Plate (PC or black aluminum, as selected)
  • Cherry screw-in stabilizers, 60% set
  • Rubber feet
  • Screws

Not included: switches and keycaps. Those are chosen separately so you can pick the feel and look you want.

Compatibility

The kit accepts standard MX-style switches and keycaps — any 3-pin or 5-pin MX-compatible switch presses into the hot-swap sockets, and any 60% keycap set fits. The PCB is compatible with common 60% layouts (KBDFans lists DZ60, GH60, and similar 60% PCBs as case-compatible). Note: the hot-swap PCB does not work with magnetic (Hall effect) switches.

Who is this for

The Holy60 is aimed at a first-time builder who wants a genuinely good-feeling 60% without soldering. The aluminum case and included foams give it a solid, muted sound out of the box, and the hot-swap PCB means switches can be tried and changed freely as tastes develop.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to solder anything?
No. Switches press into the hot-swap sockets by hand, and the stabilizers screw into the PCB.

What else do I need to buy?
Switches (about 61 for a 60% board) and a 60% keycap set. A switch puller and keycap puller make assembly easier.

Can I use Hall effect / magnetic switches?
No. KBDFans notes the hot-swap PCB in this kit does not work with magnetic switches — use standard MX-style mechanical switches.

Can I remap the keys?
Yes. The PCB supports VIA, the free no-code keyboard configurator, for remapping keys and layers.
